Nollywood Movies is the first Nigerian 24 hour movie channel to launch on the UK's Sky platform. Nigeria is the third largest film producing country in the world after Hollywood and Bollywood and Nollywood Movies aims to bring into as many homes as possible the best films the Nigerian movie industry (officially known as Nollywood), has to offer.

Nollywood Movies started broadcasting to the United Kingdom and Ireland in January 2008 via Sky's Digital Satellite platform. In November 2009, Nollywood Movies will start to rebroadcast its satellite channel online to viewers in the UK and other European countries.

Nollywood Movies acquires the rights to all movies directly from lawful content owners and broadcasts 24 hours a day, seven days a week. Once subscribed, viewers have the opportunity to watch over 30 different movies a month from Drama, Comedy, Romance, Family, Traditional, Suspense, fantasy and True Story including new and recent releases from top production companies in Nigeria. All movies are reviewed for quality and offer superb family entertainment and value for money.
